SpotOn has always been about empowering businesses with smarter tech to connect with customers. From digital loyalty to online ordering to wireless point-of-sale devices, our products are designed to transform the checkout from a mere transaction into the beginning of a lifelong relationship between local businesses and their customers.

With our $300 million Series E funding and the acquisition of Appetize, we are taking another huge step forward while staying true to that mission. More important than the $3.15 billion company valuation, the acquisition brings together two amazing teams with a clear vision for helping our clients future-proof their businesses and providing industry-best support.

As a leading digital and mobile commerce platform for enterprise businesses, Appetize is trusted by sports and entertainment venues, theme parks, zoos, and college campuses. They will join SpotOn as SpotOn Enterprise and will focus on serving a growing enterprise client base that includes brands like Yankee Stadium, the San Diego Zoo, Live Nation, PGA Tour, LSU, and many more.

In joining forces, we are combining complementary teams and technology that will help us better serve businesses of all sizes, from a major league ballpark to a local clothing boutique.

  • Small and midsize businesses will benefit from robust, scalable technology that is designed to scale with them as they grow, including self-serve kiosks and offline mode.
  • Large enterprise businesses will be able to better leverage the customer transaction process to improve guest loyalty and retention with intuitive customer engagement solutions such as digital marketing and loyalty programs.
  • For consumers, the shopping, dining, and entertainment experience will continue to improve by making it faster and easier to order, pay, and connect with their favorite brands—both online and in-person.

Many think about our industry as payments and transactions, but the truth is that our technology is helping to enable some of life’s most memorable moments—whether it's a shopping trip to pick out a prom dress with mom, date night at a special restaurant with your partner, or a kid’s first trip to the ballpark with dad.
